Her main research interest lies in human-centred technology that strives to understand the cultural and social context behind data. Ms Kuralt promotes European ideas among young Italian, Slovenian and Carinthian students and young professionals as the president of Club Alpbach Senza Confini, which is a non-profit organisation that grants scholarships for the annual European Forum Alpbach.
