Mr Greco is the executive vice president of the Institute of International Affairs, Italy, where he heads the programme of Italian foreign policy and the programme of multilateralism and global governance. From 2008 to 2017, he was the director of the Institute. He worked at the Brookings Institution between 2006 and 2007. He was the deputy director of the Institute in the 1997–2008 period. From 1993 to 2000, he directed the Institute’s Central and Eastern Europe programme. Between 2000 and 2006, he was the editor of The International Spectator.
