Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and the Union for the Mediterranean will launch a Conference called Creative Forum Ljubljana that will take place in City Museum of Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 11 and 12 April 2018.
The conference will strive towards launching a new polycentric network of cultural and creative industries that will serve as a model for regional cooperation, job creation, and economic growth, and as a small piece of the puzzle for the global EU strategy plan.
This two day event will showcase the cooperation between high representatives of EU institutions, ministries of foreign affairs, the Union for the Mediterranean, and SEECP participants, as well as international institutions, local communities, and experts from these regions.
The event will also include a high-level political forum that will seek to promote cooperation between the Western Balkans and the Southern Mediterranean, the transfer of good practices to the South and the exchange of views on a wide range of strategic topics in the Mediterranean. It will be hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Karl Erjavec and the Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean Jorge Borrego, with the participation of the UfM Co-Presidencies, ministers, and high representatives of EU and international institutions.
